Recently we presented our autumn coleection at the restaurant “Madame Pogany” in Bucharest:
Spumant 2007
Vinified of 100% Crâmpoșie grapes, 2007 vintage from Foișor vineyard, the base wine was aged one year in oak barrels, before being bottled for the second fermentation – “methode champenoise”. After 30 months on the lees in the bottles and manual remuage, we disgorged the 1.200 bottles of this limited edition without adding sugar at the dosage – “brut nature”.
The result is a sparkling wine of delicate and elegant bouquet and a full and round body, reinforced by a very fine and persistent perlage – a true sparkling wine of collection, suitable accompanist of festive occasions.
Dessert Label 1900
Earlier this year we discovered an orginal wine label “Știrbey Dessert Drăgășani”, in Art Deco style of early 1900 – a true artwork, which inspired us to re-edit it for a limited edition of Tămâioasă Românească, indigenous grape variety from Drăgășani, preferred already 100 years ago for sweet dessert wines.
Nature’s favourable conditions of 2011 allowed us to select the sweetest berries of Tămâioasă grapes, at a concentration of sugar of approximately 350 g per liter. Fermentation stopped at a residual sugar of 190 g/l. After 10 months aging, we bottled this truly noble wine in bottles of 0,375 liter – the right dose for an unforgettable finish of a festive dinner – in a limited edition of 2.300 bottles.
Dense aroma of roses, ripe fruit and honey fill your nose and palate immediately. The high concentration in sugar is well balanced by a fresh acidity, resulting in a long and intense finish.
We invite you to meet these new members of Prince Știrbey wine family at the wine fair
